Cake Britain

The other night I went to the launch of Cake Britain at the Future Gallery which is all about celebrating Tate & Lyles switch to Fairtrade. Cake makers collaborated with artists to create weird and wonderful cakey things! I went along with my friend Jemma of Crumbs & Doilies, she made these with the help of Jon Burgerman. They even have chocolate brownie burgers, buttercream sauces and custom made boxes & wrapping - pretty special!

I do love a forest and this beauty was made by Lily Vanilli and Alex Turvey. You can just about make out the finger caught in the venus fly trap!

We drank scrummy punch served in vintage tea cups and ate cake by Ms Cupcake. Surely the best vegan cake I have ever eaten and in forrero rocher flavour my mouth was truly watering.

Its on until Sunday 29th and is well worth a visit. Quick before it gets auctioned off and eaten!
